I was talking to my father on the phone that night and he told me he was watching the show and that it was pretty good. I turned it on and BOOM, I was hooked.
The characters are so believable. You have a genetics professor whose father went missing and he is drawn into the work that his father was pursuing in his effort to find him; you have the dreamer who is trying to convince his politician brother that he can fly; you have a high school cheerleader who is totally indestructible; you have a Los Vegas stripper who is trying to make ends meet to support her son and she discovers that she has a mirror image personality; you have the fugitive who is the bad guy who baffles the police because they can't capture him; you have a gifted artist who can paint the future, but he is addicted to heroine so people are skeptical about his visions; you have a police officer who is down-on-his luck who can hear people's thoughts; and, my favorite, a young Japanese man who develops a way to stop time through his will power. The destiny of these characters: To Save The World!
Tim Kring is the creator and Executive Producer of the show. He is also the creator of "Crossing Jordon."
I love this show. I believe that it shows these people in such an ordinary way, but it also shows us that there is hope, will power, determination and love. There are also parts of life that we don't like to look at, such as failure, selfishness, egos, evil and death. I also believe they did a great job of matching the powers to the people on the show.
The question, after the finale Monday night, is who will come back next season? I would like to hear from you about who you think will come back and who won't. For more information about Heroes, go to: http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/
